As children of a nomadic family, my brother and co owner, Chhewang Nitup Lama, and I would journey every year with our father and yaks from Burji, Tsum Valley, to Naam Valley (5000+ m) in Tibet. So began our lives as travelers.
Our father instilled in us the belief in education, and I was gratefully sent to attend school in Gorkha, Nepal, ages 13-23. After completion, I attended University in Kathmandu, and I have been a trekking guide since 2003.
Chhewang was educated at Kopan monastery in Kathmandu for his education, and attended Sera Jay Buddhist University in India. He has been a Buddhist spiritual guide since 2012.
Both my brother and I have travelled to places such as Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Thailand, China, Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, Canada and the United States.
Our goal is to share the mystique of the mountains and the internal history and culture that exists here in Nepal. We hope to share the Buddhist message of nonviolence, equality and compassion, which our ancestors have practiced for centuries.
We have appreciated the support of family and friends, as well as every opportunity to meet and work with people of so many backgrounds and places.
We invite you to join us in experiencing this majestic area of the world!
Thuje che, and thank you,
-Dhawa Gyanjen Lama
